RULES FOR GRAPHIC DESIGN

There are no pre-defined fixed rules for creativity or graphic design but you should follow some fundamental rules for this.

Creativity

#1 Creative thinking : As designing is a part of art, so there are no fixed rules. You have to add your own thoughts with the contents properly.

 

 Typography

#2 Proper Typography : When you are sitting for your design you should have basic knowledge about typography (Typography is the art and technique of arranging type to make written language clear, readable, and appealing when displayed to others ).

Color Theory

#3 Sense of Color theory : Color theory is a knowledge about colors for your contents. You should use proper and meaningful  color for the contents. Try to use different colors to distinguish between text and background objects.     

Title

#4 Proper Title : Use of appropriate image title is one of most important attracting thing for graphic design. It should be meaningful, short and proper for you content. 

Brainstorm

#5 Brainstorm : Before publish your design using graphic designing tools, you should make a concrete idea about the project. You may use the following for this -

1. Overall concepts and styles

2. Layouts

3. Color schemes

4. Images

5. Typography

 

Explore

#6 Explore : Search for the new ideas about different topics related to design. 

Practice

#7 Practice, Practice, and Practice : Practicing is one of the best way for memorizing everything. Practicing regularly because there is a proverb "Practice makes perfect."
